Reflection

Project two; transformation......... I have learnt a great deal from this project, taking the basic knowledge gained from project one I was able to further my designs...... I learnt about how to put sound on and how to control this sound, i learnt more about the relationship between sound and colour and shape and how to combine these in order to create a transformation of a 'sound shape' which I believe has shown through in my end result.

My goal in the beginning of this project was to create not only a sound shape but a sound shape that related to a certain scene of fantasia, where Mickey is controlling shooting stars and making them collide to make fireworks. From this I created a storyboard of an interaction which I believed would be achievable for me. After the first interim presentation I took from it that I needed to make the design more interactive so I sat down at a computer and began to experiment using others codes off open processing  and from the tutorials  and made different codes that I believed would help me in the end result. After the presentation I got the feedback that I could simplify my sound shape and I went back to the 'drawing board' and through trail and error made the code which I have as my final.....
Problems and Solutions....... Through this project I encountered many problems which based around my lack of knowledge when it came to computers and codes....... to overcome this I first broke down what I wanted to achieve which were; click and drag, how to add music and make it play when the mouse was clicked, how to change the colour within the ellipse and how to make different ellipses interact with each other...... to solve these problems I went to processing references, used tutorials and went on open processing to see if anybody else had similar codes that could help further mine. By doing this I was able to solve a number of my problems however when I couldn't find a solution such as the interaction between ellipses I moved forward and worked out how I could create a code which still showed what i wanted it to show.
Improvement...
If I was to continue to work on this interaction I would want to............ make the ellipse colour controlled  completely by the sound, make it so the r button does not have to pressed for the sound to reset, perhaps if I had plenty of time I would want to develop it so each time the mouse was clicked an ellipse would appear and grow but depending if it was a right click or a left click to if it is a high noise or a low noise and this noise is only heard when touching another ellipse.....................
I looked on google images and found this image when i typed in transformation :-)
