colour in relation to sound

I want to include colour relating to sound and I will do my best to include it I found these images that I think helps show how the two relate

This picture shows how colours grows from blueish to a pinkish colour kinda like a rainbow
This Picture shows the relation between sound and colour,   the lighter colours are linked to quieter noises, the darker the colour is the louder the noise is....
I think that if colour is included, which I will do my best to include, it will get darker if the sound is lower and will get lighter if the sound is higher.....
I think that the best way to include colour is moving from light yellow to dark red, the lighter yellow being the higher sound and the darker red being the lower sound.....
I want to include this because I think these colours relate the most to the sound scales and it also links back to my original idea of including stars, kind of like the different stages of a stars cycle....

were to from here....

After doing my presentation I got the advise to make things more simple......... for a while after this I continued to try and achieve my first idea but I could not find out how to do this exactly so I moved ..... I began by looking at the two main elements of my design...... the bouncing interactive ball and the moving ellipses that are intended to be the sound shape..... first I looked at the moving ellipses and there interaction with the mouse ie.. the distance of the mouse in relation to how big the ellipses are or what colour and when the noise plays but this did not work how I wanted to so next I looked at my other element the interactive ball...... I want to make the interactive ball the sound shape I will probably make it so when the right click on the mouse will make the ellipse grow and have a growing scale of the piano and when the left mouse is clicked the ellipse will shrink and go down on the scale.......

Final presentation

Ok so for some reason the computer im on does not want me to put any sketches to view so Illl put the url in instead.....
This is my first attempt at creating an interactive code.... as the mouse moves the ellipse follows and changes the colour of the moving ellipses....

Next I looked at how I could make an ellipse appear by clicking and the influence the mouse had on the ellipse and how to use drag .......

The next thing I looked at was how to include the sound of chimes into a code and using my first attempt at interactive code I created this......

Next I wanted to incorparate a part that was more interactive and found a code of someone elses which was of a bouncing ball that came to the mouse when it was clicked

I used this code and combined it with my own original to create an interactive code that the many ellipses interacted with the mouse to change colour and size as well as having the ball to play with....

Next I wanted to combine the interactive code with sound of chimes but I also wanted to make the sound a more interactive part so now when the mouse is clicked the sound will begin to play.......

I have decided to have less circles and make them slightly larger next step is to find a way for the moving shape to interact with the static shapes and cause them to make a sound, change colour and shape........... I like this idea and would like to come back to it in future............ but prehaps I want to take away the space invaders type look I think it has.......

For the time being this is my final..... I have decided to combine the click to use music with the moving ellipses that change colour and size and the bouncing click ball........... I have decided to change the colour to variations of blues which I belive is more tranquil like the chimes which is the sound...... the colour changes depending on where the mouse is eg. the higher the page the lighter the lighter the blue, the lower the page the darker the blue....

As for where I want to go from here............. I want to go back to the static larger circles that only take up half the space and have them interact only with the bouncing ball so when the ball hits a higher ellipses the ellipse will make a the noise of a higher pitch of a chime, change to a lighter blue and expand before disappering the lower the ellipse the lower the sound and the darker the colour.... the 'player' then will be able to reset and make the ellipses reappear. The ball will also have the same function..... when the player clicks it will come to the mouse and they can throw it......
I found this code that I think will help me

Although it is a game I think the interaction between shapes will be benaficial for what I want to achieve.....

I hope to achieve the rest by continueing what I have started of researching other codes and how processing works and also by using it I will also mind map in order to further how I can take the shape from just expanding to making it more of a sound shape................. this alll will be so much eaiser achieved once I have internet at home :-)
